Since being admitted to the bar in 2003, Jochen Höger has represented his clients nationwide before regional and higher regional courts, and since 2008 has also regularly represented Matthias Siegmann before the Federal Court of Justice. He has been working in forensic law since the beginning of his professional career.
Training
After studying in Freiburg (1994-1998) and completing his legal traineeship in Karlsruhe (1999-2001), Jochen Höger obtained his doctorate in Freiburg under Prof. Dr. Rainer Frank on a topic related to family law contract drafting (published in 2005).
Legal work
While still pursuing his doctorate, Jochen Höger began his legal career in Karlsruhe in 2003, joining Matthias Siegmann in 2005 at the law firm Siegmann & Kollegen. There, he acted as a partner for institutional and private clients in numerous proceedings before regional and higher regional courts throughout Germany. Since his admission to the bar at the Federal Court of Justice in 2007, Jochen Höger has also regularly acted for Matthias Siegmann as his officially appointed representative at the Federal Court of Justice.

In April 2025, Jochen Höger was appointed a lawyer at the Federal Court of Justice. In July 2025, he founded the joint law firm Siegmann Höger Rechtsanwälte at the Federal Court of Justice (Partnerschaft mbB) with Matthias Siegmann.

Jochen Höger is a contributing author to the leading online commentary on the German Civil Code (BeckOK BGB) (print version: Bamberger/Roth/Hau/Poseck) and the Berlin Commentary on the German Energy Industry Act (EnWG). He has also published various commentaries on supreme court rulings in juris.
